On Episode 56 below, we put the spotlight on Alcohol. April is Alcohol Awareness Month and we are glad to have Ms. Lauren Stovall from the National Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependence-Greater Detroit Area on this episode. This year’s theme is “Help for Today, Hope for Tomorrow”. Also State Representative Abdullah Hammoud talks about a new law he’s proposing in Michigan to lower the blood alcohol content level for DUI’s. Community organizer Yusef “Bunchy” Shakur tells why so many African-Americans are addicted to alcohol in his opinion. In addition to those guests, we have Rachelle Brown-King a recovering addict who tells her real story of addiction and how she came into recovery years ago.
